Notre Dame junior softball player Kristain Burger continued her offensive fireworks and also chipped in on the mound in the Bulldogs' 4-0 home win over Sikeston on Monday. Notre Dame junior softball player Kristain Burger continued her offensive fireworks and also chipped in on the mound in the Bulldogs' 4-0 home win over Sikeston on Monday.

Burger, who was 11-for-11 on Saturday as the Bulldogs won the Incarnate Word Tournament, was 2-for-3 at the plate on Monday and threw seven shutout innings for her first win on the mound. Notre Dame improved to 14-1.

Bailey Reutzel and Heather Menz added two hits apiece for Notre Dame.

Notre Dame's junior varsity won 17-0.

Kelly took advantage of six Delta errors in a road victory.

Meghan Tetley allowed three hits and no walks in five innings to earn her third win. Kayla Seabaugh suffered the loss, allowing 10 hits and four walks.

Mindy Robert went 3-for-4 for the Hawks (10-4) with a triple and two RBIs. Brittany Ponder, Tetley and Katee Moore each added two hits.

Kaci Menz led Delta with two hits.

Central continued its dominance in dual play by pounding Kennett on the road.

Central allowed Kennett only one singles victory to improve to 7-0 in dual matches.

Sarah Ford, Monica Toole, Lindsey Pingel, Paige Foley and Kristen Ford won singles and doubles matches for Central.

Central's JV won 15-0.

Central picked up its third victory with a two-game road sweep of Sikeston.

Kyla Valleroy had 13 assists for the Tigers, Ashton Gerlach had 12 digs and Laura Burdick had five kills.

Marquand 22 25 21

Chaffee won on the road for its first victory.

Brandy Seabaugh had six kills for the Red Devils (1-3), and Christa Beck added four aces.

OTHER EVENTS

* Central's junior-varsity football team lost 18-6 to Sikeston in its season opener. Kadeem Hammonds had Central's lone touchdown.
