Jacob Bullinger saved his personal best for the right time.
The Missouri junior won the Big 12 title in the weight throw at the weekend's Big 12 Championships.
Bullinger, who graduated from Jackson High School, won with a throw of 63 feet, 2 1/4 inches. He won by more than 2 feet.
Another Jackson graduate also earned all-Big 12 honors for Missouri. Sophomore Paden Wachter helped the Tigers' distance medley relay finish seventh. Wachter ran the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 9.56 seconds.
