Notre Dame matched its victory total from last year, improving to 19-3, with a 6-4 win over Shawnee, Ill.
The win was Notre Dame's 10th in a row.
Tied 1-1 in the fifth inning, Bulldog first baseman Dirk Dirberger led off the bottom of the inning with a long home run to the left of the scoreboard in right-center field. The blast was Dirnberger's third of the year and put the Bulldogs up 2-1.
Notre Dame added four more runs in the inning for a 6-1 lead after five innings.
Keith Hamm allowed three runs in the sixth, but pitched all seven innings for the win. Hamm (3-0) allowed five hits, four walks and struck out three.
Freshman Tommy Wencewicz and senior Trent Summers both had two of Notre Dame's eight hits.
Trailing 1-0 in the fourth, Summers got the Bulldogs offense rolling with an RBI single in the fourth inning to score Nathan McGuire.
