DEXTER, Mo. -- Perryville's fifth-seeded volleyball team knocked off top-seeded Fredericktown but fell to Dexter in the championship game of the Class 3A, District 1 Tournament late Tuesday night.

The Lady Pirates knocked off Fredericktown 11-15, 15-12 and 15-2, then lost to Dexter 15-17, 15-9 and 15-12.

Andrea Buerck provided 17 points, 16 assists and 14 digs in Perryville's win over Fredericktown and had 21 assists in the second game.

Over the two matches, Katie Kutz had 18 points, 21 kills and 23 digs, while Natalie Bohnert hand 21 kills and 25 blocks in the two matches.
