Southeast softball at home today
Southeast Missouri State University's softball team will look to get back on track today when the Otahkians host Austin Peay in a 1 p.m. doubleheader at the Southeast Complex. The squads will also play a single game Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Otahkians are 5-16 overall and 2-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Governors are 12-22-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the OVC.
Southeast had beaten Austin Peay 30 straight times before dropping a 1-0 decision last year.

Baseball
Moises Alou, the Chicago Cubs' major offseason acquisition, was placed on the 15-day disabled list before the team's home opener Friday with a strained right calf.
It is the third straight season that Alou has gone to the DL with an injury to his right calf.
The New York Mets acquired Montreal closer Scott Strickland on Friday, sending Bruce Chen and two minor leaguers to the Expos.
Strickland, a 25-year-old right-hander, appeared in a career-high 77 games last season. He went 2-6 with nine saves and a 3.21 ERA.
College
Jeff Lebo was hired as Chattanooga's basketball coach after a 27-7 season at Tennessee Tech, the best in school history.
Chattanooga also hired Steve Sloan as athletic director, one day after he resigned as AD at Central Florida.
Lebo, a former North Carolina player who spent a season in the NBA with San Antonio, replaces Henry Dickerson. Dickerson was reassigned to the Office of Student Affairs after a 16-14 season.
Lebo was 75-43 in four seasons at Tennessee Tech. The Golden Eagles won their second straight Ohio Valley Conference regular-season championship and advanced to the NIT quarterfinals.
Golf
Steve Elkington, winless on the PGA Tour since 1999, was 11-under par and tied for the lead with Phil Mickelson at the midway point of the BellSouth Classic on Friday.
The 39-year-old Australian, who led by a stroke after the first round, shot a 3-under 69 to maintain a share of the top spot at 133 on the grueling TPC at Sugarloaf course. Mickelson, the 2000 winner who opened with a 65, finished with a 68.
Se Ri Pak survived a water-logged double bogey and rolled in seven birdie putts on her way to a 4-under 68 and the first-round lead in the Office Depot Championship.
Tonya Gill and Wendy Doolan were a stroke back, and Dawn Coe-Jones and Kristal Parker-Manzo shot 70s.
Tennis
Alex Corretja beat Pete Sampras 4-6, 4-6, 7-6, 7-5, 6-4 to give Spain a 1-1 tie with the United States in their Davis Cup quarterfinal match.
Andy Roddick beat Tommy Robredo 6-3, 7-5, 7-6 (7) in the opening match on the grass court at Westside Tennis Club.
In today's doubles match, Americans James Blake and Todd Martin will face Corretja and Juan Balcells. The match will end with two more singles matches on Sunday.
