Southeast Missouri State University baseball coach Mark Hogan has announced that two members of this past season's team, junior pitcher Augie Casson and freshman catcher James Beever, were leaving the program in order to transfer to other schools. Casson compiled a 1-0 record and had one save in 22 appearances, all in relief. He had a 5.14 earned-run average, allowing 37 hits, striking out 27 and walking 13 in 28 innings...

Beever appeared in 18 games and started one. He had two hits in 21 at-bats for an .095 average.

"Augie indicated that he wanted to go some place where he could play the field and Jim just wanted to get a little more playing time," said Hogan. "We wish both of them the best of luck."
