PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- St. Vincent High School's softball team won its own round-robin tournament Saturday as the Lady Indians beat out three other squads.
St. Vincent and St. Pius both went 2-1 in round-robin play, then the Lady Indians prevailed 9-4 in the championship game.
The Lady Indians, now 11-11 on the season, beat Farmington 11-8 and Delta 12-11 while losing to St. Pius 14-2 in round-robin play.
In the title game against St. Pius, Julie Hager pitched all seven innings while Jean Brown and Amanda Richardet both had two hits. Brown drove in four runs.
For the tournament, Brown went 5-for-12 with two home runs, six runs scored and 11 RBIs.
Also for St. Vincent, Richardet and Amanda Carron both had four hits while Kara Carroll and Caitlin Hoeh added three each. Carron had seven RBIs and Richardet scored seven runs.
Delta finished third in the tourney.
