St. Francis' Center for Health and Rehabilitation has started a new program geared toward enhancing athletes' sports performance through specialized training.

The program, which is the only such system in the region, utilizes "very specific weight protocols and equipment," said Dale Rauh, center director.

Physical therapist Jerry Salter and two certified athletic trainers are on staff to assist each participant and will tailor the program to the athlete's sport of interest, Rauh said.
