CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Southeast Missouri State University's women's soccer team closed out the regular season by suffering a 4-0 Ohio Valley Conference loss to host Eastern Illinois Sunday.

The Lady Panthers wrapped up the OVC title with a 5-0 record. They are 9-0 overall.

Southeast fell to 2-2-1 in OVC play and 3-7-1 overall.

Carole Griggs, Ida Hakansson, Kristy Zabrosky and Terri Manser scored goals for EIU, which led 2-0 at halftime.

EIU outshot Southeast 26-9. Otahkian goalkeeper Beth Guccione made 14 saves while EIU goalie Jeanine Fredrick made four saves.

The Lady Panthers will host the OVC Tournament beginning Friday. Southeast plays Morehead State in the first round, with the winner meeting EIU.
