MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Southeast Missouri State University's women's cross country team placed second while the men were fifth during the season-opening Memphis Invitational over the weekend.
Janelle Quigley paced the Otahkians with a second-place finish. Other top-25 finishers were Leslie McNamara, 4th; Sherry (Lange) Dietiker, 14th; Celeste Ramsey, 18th; Jessica Sefzik, 21st; and Terry Lange, 21st.
For the Indians, placing in the top 25 were Erin Rhoades, 13th; Ron Wagner, 19th; and Ryan Layton, 23rd.
Southeast will return to action Sept. 20 in the Vanderbilt Invitational.
