KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Southeast Missouri State University's entire 2000-01 men's basketball schedule has not yet been finalized, but the Indians will definitely be spending Thanksgiving in Kansas City.
That became apparent Tuesday when the University of Missouri-Kansas City announced its schedule that will feature an eight-team tournament during Thanksgiving. Among those eight tourney squads is Southeast.
And as an added bonus for Southeast, the NCAA has made the tournament exempt, meaning the three games each squad will play will not count against the 27-game regular season limit.
Other teams in the tournament are Auburn, Providence, Creighton, Cleveland State, Furman and Robert Morris.
