BRIEFLY: SE VOLLEYBALL HIRES ASSISTANT

Southeast Missouri State volleyball has announced the hiring of assistant coach Maile Parker.

Parker comes to Southeast from Mankato State where she served as assistant coach the past two seasons. At Mankato, Parker was responsible for recruiting, strength and conditioning, academics and fund-raising activities.

Parker obtained her undergraduate and master's degrees in kinesiology from Angelo State University.

"I have been very impressed with Maile's enthusiasm and the ideas she has already brought forward on how to improve our program her at Southeast," said Otahkian head coach Cindy Gannon.

The Otahkians will be in search of their sixth straight OVC title in 1998.
