Southeast Missouri State University baseball coach Mark Hogan has announced the signing of a pitcher from one of the top junior colleges in the nation.
Tim Larsen, a righthander from Rancho Santiago Community College in Santa Anna, Calif., will pitch for the Indians in 1998. Larsen was 7-2 with a 4.80 earned-run average last year. In 60 innings, he gave up 52 hits while striking out 34 and walking 27.
"Tim is a great addition to our program because of the school he is coming from," said Hogan. "We feel very fortunate to have him."
