Southeast Missouri State University women's basketball assistant coach Jodi Davis has resigned and accepted a position at Arkansas State University.
Davis was the third assistant at Southeast and will elevate to a second assistant position at Arkansas State.
Davis, a native of Flippin, Ark. and a 1996 graduate of Illinois College, served just one season as an assistant to Southeast Missouri head coach Ed Arnzen.
"Jodi is an outstanding coach who had an excellent rapport with our student-athletes," Arnzen said. "I am glad Jodi had the opportunity to advance in her coaching career and our loss will be Arkansas State's gain."
A search will begin immediately for a replacement for Davis.
The Otahkians posted the fourth-best turnaround in the nation from the 1997-98 season (8-19) to the 1998-99 season (19-9). They will open the 1999-2000 season with Midnight Madness on Oct. 16 at 12:01 a.m. at the Show Me Center.
