Three players from both Scott City and Delta head the Scott-Mississippi Conference all-star boys basketball team that was recently announced.

Scott City's Dustin Cauble, Chris Sisk and Jon Beck, along with Delta's Jeremiah Cook, Garrett DeBrock and Sammy Below, all made the squad.

Others selected were Kelly's Jim Hulshof and Denver Stuckey, Oak Ridge's Kirt Ruehling and Scott County Central's John Fort.

Kenny Gaebler (Delta), Justin Vetter (Kelly), Marcus Blissett (Scott Central), Eric Canady (Scott Central), Cory Gipson (Scott Central) and Dustin Dannenmueller (Oran) made honorable-mention.

Scott City's Derek McCord and Delta's Nate Crowden are co-coaches of the year.

The girls team features Scott City's Sara Emerson and Sarah Glenn; Delta's Jody Below and Paula Eftink; Kelly's Jennifer McNeill and Suzanne Urhahn; Scott Central's Vontrice Blackmon and Ashley Whitson; Chaffee's Renee Vandeven; and Oran's Sarah Heisserer.

On the honorable-mention list are Brandi Foulk (Chaffee), Kate Nolan (Chaffee), Tara Sanford (Scott City), Amanda McDaniel (Delta) and Clara Olwin (East Prairie).

Delta's Jim Gloth and Scott Central's Semona Penrod are co-coaches of the year.
