SCOTT CITY -- Host Scott City is the top seed -- by virtue of a coin flip -- for the annual Scott-Mississippi Conference boys basketball tournament that begins Tuesday at Scott City High School.

The Rams (14-1) and Kelly (13-2) tied for the No. 1 seed, but Scott City won the coin flip.

Delta (11-4) is seeded third, with Oran (8-5) fourth, Scott County Central (5-8) fifth, East Prairie (4-9) sixth, Oak Ridge (2-10) seventh and Chaffee (1-11) eighth.

Tuesday's first-round games will pit Delta against East Prairie at 5:30 and Kelly against Oak Ridge at 7. Wednesday, it will be Scott City vs. Chaffee at 5:30 and Oran vs. Scott Central at 7.

The semifinals will be Friday at 7 and 8:30, with the championship set for Saturday at 8.

Oran is seeded first and Scott City second for the JV portion of the tournament. The JV final will be Saturday at 6:30.
