BRIEFLY: OTAHKIAN BASKETBALL SIGNS THREE PLAYERS

Southeast Missouri's women's basketball team signed three players Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.

Signing letters of intent were forward Lori Chase and guards Jennifer Gries and Kristy Roherty.

Chase, 5-foot-11, is a two-time all-state selection from Rosary High School in St. Louis. She averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds as a junior last year.

Gries, a 5-9 senior at Elk Horn High School, was named first-team all-state in Iowa last year after averaging 25 points and eight rebounds a game.

Roherty, a 5-7 point guard, averaged 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists at Milton High School last year as a junior. She was named to the Wisconsin all-state team.
