Ann Klapperich has been hired as the third assistant coach for Southeast Missouri State University's women's basketball team, replacing Jodi Davis, who left the staff earlier this year to become an assistant coach at Arkansas State.
Klapperich was a standout player at Wisconsin from 1994-98. She is one of only five Badgers to score over 1,500 points, finishing her career with 1,543 points, fifth in school history. She also ranks fourth in field-goal percentage (.504) and ranks in the top 10 in nine other Wisconsin categories.
As a senior in 1998, Klapperich earned second-team all-Big 10 honors as she led the Badgers to one of their most successful seasons ever with a 21-10 record.
Klapperich was invited to the American Basketball League combine in 1998 and played briefly in a professional league in Portugal in 1998.
"We were very fortunate to get Ann, especially on such short notice," said Southeast head coach Ed Arnzen. "I think her expertise in post play will add a great deal to our players and program."
