The Optimistic Spring Classic girls soccer tournament, hosted by both Cape Girardeau Central and Notre Dame high schools, will be held Wednesday through Saturday.

Six teams are entered. Notre Dame, Perryville and Marion (Ill.) make up Pool A while Cape Central, St. Vincent and Poplar Bluff comprise Pool B.

Action Wednesday and Thursday will take place at Notre Dame while play Friday and Saturday will be held at the Southeast Missouri State University intramural fields on the corner of Sprigg and Bertling.

Two pool play games will take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Wednesday, it's Cape Central vs. St. Vincent at 3:30 p.m. and Perryville vs. Marion at 5. Thursday, it's Notre Dame vs. Marion at 3:30 and St. Vincent vs. Poplar Bluff at 5. Friday, it's Notre Dame vs. Perryville at 5:30 and Cape Central vs. Poplar Bluff at 7.

The finals are set for Saturday, with the fifth-place game at 8:30 a.m., the third-place contest at 10 and the championship matchup at 11:30.
