BRIEFLY: NOTRE DAME SOCCERFEST OPENS TODAY WITH FOUR GAMES

The annual Notre Dame Soccerfest, which has been expanded to eight teams, will open today with four games at two sites.

There will be two games at Notre Dame High's field and two games at Shawnee Park. Games at Notre Dame will be Cape Central vs. Sikeston (3:30 p.m.) and Notre Dame vs. Poplar Bluff (5:00). Played at Shawnee will be Carbondale vs. Farmington (3:30) and Jackson vs. Hillsboro (5:00).

There will be four more games Friday, two each at Notre Dame and Shawnee, at 3:30 and 5.

The tournament will conclude Saturday with four games, all at Notre Dame. There will be a seventh-place game at 9 a.m., a fifth-place contest at 11, a third-place game at 1 p.m. and the championship matchup at 3.
