Cape Girardeau C.C. and Kimbeland C.C. will wage their first ever match play event this weekend at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
The event, which will feature eight men on each team, is modeled after Ryder Cup play.
The clubs will break into two-man teams today for 36 holes of match play. A Best Ball format will be held for 18 holes and an alternate shot will be used for the other 18.
On Sunday, the teams will play individual match play.
Team members for Cape: Mark Johnson, Lance Bray, Jason Crowell, Tom Hamilton, Tom Viers, Tim Coad, Ron Seabaugh and Mark Kneer.
Team members for Kimbeland: Mark Unger, Todd Ladd, Dick Davis, Mark Mungle, Gary King, David Clabaugh, Ken Hosea and Trae Thrower.
