Darin Kinsolving, who had a record-setting baseball career at Southeast Missouri State University and was the top slugger for the McDowell Capahas this summer, has signed a professional contract with the River City Rascals of the Independent Frontier League.
Kinsolving, a native of East Prairie, Mo., played both first base and third base for Southeast and the Capahas. For Southeast this spring, he batted .380 with 17 home runs and 57 runs batted in. He ranks high on many of the career batting lists at Southeast.
The Rascals, who are based in O'Fallon, Mo., near St. Louis, lead the Western Division of the 10-team Frontier League.
