Four first-half turnovers and three O'Fallon Christian touchdowns in the final three minutes of the half led to a season-opening loss for Jackson.
O'Fallon Christian senior quarterback Brendan Norwine passed for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth to help the Class 2 Eagles to a 33-30 upset of Jackson, a Class 5 school.
Jackson sophomore running back Colten Proffer rushed for 163 yards in his first varsity start.
Jackson, which trailed 26-8 at halftime, closed the gap to 33-30 with 4 minutes, 33 seconds left in the third quarter but failed to score on its final two possessions.
The Indians moved the ball deep inside Eagles territory in the final minute of the game but ran out of time after they
were stopped on a second-and-10 play from the 10-yard line.
