The Jackson football team kept its playoff hopes alive Friday night by beating visiting Seckman 8-7.
All the scoring came in the first quarter as both squads scored on their first drives of the game.
Jackson, trailing 7-0, scored with Ty Selsor hit Skyler Steele with a 15-yard touchdown pass. Selsor and Trea Forbs then hooked up for the two-point conversion.
The Indians, 2-7 overall, are 1-1 in Class 5 District 1. They need to beat Rockwood Summit next week and have Poplar Bluff lose to Seckman in order to make the playoffs.
