The Gunco Rotterdam basketball team in the Netherlands Basketball Federation includes four former Southeast Missouri State University players.

Squad members include Mike Branson and Brian Bunche from last year's NCAA Tournament team; Calvert White, who played at Southeast from 1996-98; and Eelco Derks, who played for the Indians from 1989-93.

While Branson and Bunche are in their first seasons with Gunco, White is in his second season and Netherlands native Derks has played with the squad for the past several years.

Gunco opened league play earlier this week, winning 64-63.

Another member of last year's Southeast team, Roderick Johnson, is playing for Alba-Chorzow in Poland. He scored 27 points as his squad opened league play with an 89-84 victory.

Yet another former Southeast star, Bud Eley, is in his second season with Besikta in Istanbul, Turkey. After 25 games this season, Eley is averaging nearly 17 points and 10 rebounds per game. He is the third leading rebounder in the Turkish Basketball League.
