Southeast Missouri State University's women's basketball team will tune up for the 1997-98 season tonight by hosting the Finnish National Team in a 7 p.m. tipoff at the Show Me Center.
"There are two aspects to the Finland game," said Southeast coach Ed Arnzen, whose squad opens the season Saturday night at home against Wisconsin-Milwaukee. "First, we will play to win. Second, we will play everyone.
"This game will give us a chance to see everyone and where we are right now. They are tired of seeing each other in practice and are anxious to play someone else."
Injuries have plagued the Otahkians so far. Senior guard Jamie Koester, who has missed some practice time with back spasms, and junior point guard Rusty Sowers, who missed some practice time after being involved in a car accident, will both play tonight.
