BRIEFLY: DUNKLIN COUNTY WINS ZONE TOURNEY

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Dunklin County defeated Creve Couer 10-2 Monday in the championship game of the American Legion Zone 4 Tournament which was relocated to Perryville City Park due to wet fields at Heine Meine Field in St. Louis.

In Sunday's action, also played at Perryville City Park, Anheuser-Busch eliminated Perryville 11-8 in a loser's bracket contest. The loss ended Perryville's season at 21-12. Dunklin County also defeated Creve Couer 1-0 in the winner's bracket final. Creve Couer then edged Anheuser-Busch 10-9 in the loser's bracket final to reach the title game.
