CHAFFEE -- The Medicap Pharmacey Chaffee senior legion baseball team split a doubleheader with Ballard County (Ky.) Wednesday night.
Chaffee (5-1) lost the first game 2-1. Josh Eftink had two of Chaffee's four hits that game including a 400-foot-plus home run over the center field fence.
Scott Eftink suffered the loss. He went the distance and allowed five hits and two walks while striking out three.
In the nightcap, Chaffee won 8-4 behind the pitching of Josh Eftink. He went all seven innings and allowed nine hits and two walks while striking out nine. Chaffee had 17 hits in the game but Bill Posey was the only Chaffee hitter with two.
