PADUCAH, Ky. -- The Cape Girardeau Ford & Sons American Legion baseball team fell back below the .500 mark Tuesday night by dropping a 12-3 decision to Paducah.
Cape (18-19) trailed just 4-3 entering the bottom of the sixth inning before the hosts pulled away.
Mark Fisher, Garrett Broshuis and Mike Sullivan all had two of Cape's nine hits. Broshuis, Sullivan and Josh McIntosh each drove in a run.
Richard Harrison was the losing pitcher. He hurled the first 5 2/3 innings, allowing seven earned runs.
Ford & Sons returns to District 14 action tonight with a 6 o'clock home doubleheader against Chaffee. The first game will serve as the championship of the Capaha Classic Tournament that was rained out last month.
Tonight's contests will also mark Cape's finale home action of the season.
