ST. LOUIS -- Cape Girardeau Central High's girls soccer team outshot Rolla Saturday night but encountered a 1-0 loss at the Anheuser-Busch Conference & Sports Centre.
Rolla scored the lone goal four minutes into the game and then held off the Lady Tigers.
"We outshot them 11 to 7, but we just couldn't get one in the net," said Cape Central coach Tom Doyle.
The loss dropped Central to 5-2-1 on the season.
The Lady Tigers return to action Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. when they play Notre Dame at the Sprigg-Bertling field.
