Amy Arteme, a Southeast Missouri State junior from Benton, was recently selected the Ohio Valley Conference's Runner of the Week.
After an impressive win in the two-mile Plough Park Invitational in Memphis in the opening week of the season in 11:55, Arteme tied for second place with a time of 12:02 in the Racer Invitational in Murray, Ky.
"I'm really pleased with how Amy has performed in these last two races," said head coach Joey Haines. "It is early in the year and she's used to running longer races, so I'm really anxious to see where she takes us this season."
