Scott County Central's girls basketball team will get its second crack at Delta this season in the championship of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament following a 62-59 upset of No. 2 Kelly on Thursday in the semifinals at Oran. Scott County took a 25-19 first-quarter lead and held on for the win. Brittney Peet led the Bravettes with 22 points, and Jamisha Williams added 10.

Debra Hall led the Hawks with 21 points, and Sara Ruff and Brittney Ponder had 10 points apiece.

Kaci Menz had 32 points as the undefeated Bobcats (11-0) rolled. No other Delta player scored more than five points. Tiffany Amelunke added six assists.

Erica Michelsen led the Eagles with 11 points.

Saxony Lutheran moved into the finals of the Chester (Ill.) Invitational Tournament with a 53-36 semifinal win over host Chester.

Alex Jauch led the Crusaders (12-1) with 15 points and Max Wieser added 13.

In the other semifinal, Perryville fell to Marissa-Coulterville (Ill.) 67-50.

Saxony Lutheran will play Marissa at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
