The Scott County Central boys basketball team raced out to a 41-point halftime lead and cruised to a 94-37 first-round victory over North Pemiscot in Class 1 District 1 action at Gideon High School.
The Braves scored 38 points in the first quarter and led 63-22 by halftime.
Drew Thomas led four Braves in double figures with 23 points. D.D. Gillespie added 18, Otto Porter had 16 and Bobby Hatchett netted 13.

Delta held the lead for one quarter before faltering and losing to Lesterville 78-47 in Class 1 District 2.
Chase Rhodes led the Bobcats with 24 points.
In other first-round action, Oak Ridge fell behind early and could not recover in a 64-54 loss to Eminence.
Kaz Lange paced the Blue Jays with 16 points and Garrett Light had 10.
Eminence will play Lesterville tonight in the semifinals, while Bell City will take on Leopold in the other semifinal.

Debra Hall poured in 25 points and Londyn Backfisch netted 18 as Kelly used a strong third quarter to overcome Caruthersville and win 70-65 in the Class 3 District 1 semifinal in Portageville, Mo.
The Hawks were down 29-26 heading into halftime but outscored the Tigers 21-12 in the third quarter to take the lead.
Kelly will face Portageville in the district final Thursday.
