The Cape Girardeau Ford & Sons Post 63 Senior American Legion baseball team surrendered five runs over the final two innings in an 8-4 loss to Blytheville, Arkansas, on Tuesday at Capaha Field.

The teams were tied 3-3 entering the top of the sixth, where Blytheville scored two runs. The visitors added three more runs in the seventh for an 8-3 lead.

Post 63 scored two runs in the fourth and single runs in the fifth and seventh innings.

Josh Morse had two of Cape's eight hits. Ryan Tegel and Brock Baugher each added a double.

Nick Wiggs took the loss in relief of starter Ryan Tegel. Wiggs allowed three hits and five runs -- four earned -- over two innings. He struck out two and walked two. Tegel gave up five hits and three runs -- one earned -- in five innings. He struck out three and walked one.

It was the third straight loss for Post 63 (17-14) following a four-game winning streak.
