Guard Monai Douglass hit the winninng shot with 2 seconds left as visiting Berkeley rallied from a seven-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Jackson girls basketball team 52-50 on Wednesday.

Jackson (7-7) had stretched a three-point halftime lead to 41-34 heading into the final 8 minutes.

Kaylen Knepp led Jackson's attack with 15 points, while Ashten Howard tallied 14.

Brianna Hawthorne paced Berkeley with 15 points. Douglass finished with 11 points.

The Tigers fell to Nerinx Hall on Tuesday night, but bounced back to knock off Poplar Bluff and Saxony on Wednesday.

In Tuesday's meet, Jennifer Willet and Shannon Nuyt both captured two first place finishes.

Lizzie Schmidt, Willet, Annie Wolpers, Cat Goeke, and diver Tara Volkerding all took home first-place honors in Wednesday's meet.
