Bell City and Woodland both posted five-inning routs as the Stoddard County Conference baseball tournament got underway Monday.

Bell City ripped Richland 15-1 and Woodland downed Puxico 12-2.

Josh Overbey and Jeff Long both had three-run homers for Bell City (5-5). Overbey went 2 for 2. Leonard Schaefer was the winning pitcher.

David Gray and Dillon Miller both went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Woodland (5-6). Andrew Minson struck out seven and allowed five hits in going the distance.

In tournament action today, Woodland visits Bell City and Advance travels to Bernie.

Mark Glastetter homered for the defending state champion Bulldogs (10-1). Jimmy Obermark, Colton Young and Mark Hagedorn all had two hits.

Oak Ridge pounded out a victory in a game that went all seven innings as the visiting Blue Jays tacked on 10 runs in the top of the seventh.

Brett Thomas homered and doubled while delivering three RBIs for the Blue Jays (6-5). Logan Mangels had three doubles.

Caleb Elam also had three hits. Dakota Zoellner, Jacob Light, Lucas Rhode and Kyle Rhode all added two hits.

Zoellner was the winning pitcher.
