Bell City will play for third in Class 1

Bell City will play for third place today in the Class 1 state volleyball tournament at Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, Mo.

The Cubs finished Friday's pool play among the final four with a 1-5 record and was seeded fourth at the of the day. They will play Winona (27-8-4) at 10:30 a.m. this morning in the third-place game.

New Haven (30-6-2) will play Santa Fe (29-3-4) in the final at 1:30 p.m.

Bell City (29-7-2) lost 25-14, 25-16 to New Haven, then split with Winona 14-25, 25-21 before losing to Santa Fe 25-17, 25-11.

Winona finished 2-4 after splitting sets with Santa Fe.

New Haven was 5-1, and Santa Fe was 4-2 in pool play.
