BELL CITY -- Bell City came from behind in the fourth quarter against Delta Friday night to give Jeff Funston his first win as head coach of the Cubs.
Behind 23 points by Jarod Eftink, Bell City defeated Delta 72-61.
Bell City (1-3) trailed 52-50 entering the fourth quarter but saw sophomore Gabe Scherer score 11 of his 21 points in the period as the Cubs outscored the Bobcats 22-9.
"They had to come back a couple of times and they finally just did it for themselves," said Funston.
Nathan Walter added 17 points for Bell City before fouling out.
Josh Althenthal scored a game-high 27 points for Delta and Greg Voelker added 13.
Delta led 18-12 after one quarter, but Bell City moved ahead 32-27 by halftime.
Scott City 85, Oran 54
ORAN -- Scott City turned a five-point halftime lead into a second-half rout Friday night to remain perfect on the season.
The Rams led just 40-35 at halftime, but proceeded to outscore the Eagles 45-19 in the second half.
Scott City improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the Scott-Mississippi Conference.
Senior Jon Beck led the way with six 3-pointers and 31 points, while Ryan Weatherspoon netted 19 points and Luke Sample tallied 14. Beck also had 12 assists.
Oran's Daniel Wheeler scored 18 points in the first half and finished as the Eagles' lone double-figure scorer with 28 points.
"It was a physical game and I think we were able to wear them down in the second half," said Scott City coach Derek McCord.
The teams combined for 50 fouls.
Woodland 68, Chaffee 23
Woodland continued its perfect start with a romp past Chaffee.
Woodland (5-0) built a 37-17 lead by halftime and outscored the Red Devils 24-1 in the third quarter.
Jason Greer led the Cardinals with 16 points, followed by Matt Cutsinger 14, David Massa 13, and Paul Long 10.
Phillip Blevins tallied 11 points for Chaffee.

Jackson JV Tournament
JACKSON -- Jackson's girls won their own tournament Friday with a 49-48 victory over Notre Dame.
Nicole Poythress led Jackson with 16 points while Lisa Millham scored 13 for Notre Dame.
Perryville defeated Cape Central 43-39 in the third-place contest.
