MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Third-seeded Bell City defeated No. 4 Bismarck 12-1 in five innings in the championship game of the Woodland Optimist Tournament on Saturday.

Bell City (11-3) continued its two-day run of quality baseball by scoring four runs in both the first and third innings.

Zak McIntyre, who capped a rally against Woodland in the semifinals with the game-winning hit, continued his two-day tear. McIntrye was 3-for-3 with two home runs, three runs scored and five RBIs.

Bell City finished the game with 13 hits, including five doubles: Ty Brown had two with Blaine Stewart, Jack Daniels and Darrell Bailey each getting one.

Bailey picked up his third win of the season, pitching all five innings and fanning six. Bismarck managed back-to-back doubles in the first inning for its only two hits and run of the game.

McIntyre was 5-for-7 with 10 RBIs and two home runs during the tournament.

Bell City made just three errors in the tournament and allowed only four runs in 15 innings.

On Saturday, Bismarck reached the finals after defeating No. 5 Oak Ridge 3-0 and then upsetting top-seeded Leopold 6-0.

Second-seeded Woodland defeated Leopold 5-2 in the third-place game. Luke Johnson was 3-for-3 with a home run, double, three runs scored and two RBIs. Scott Crader was 2-for-2 with a double for Woodland (10-7), which had nine hits overall.

Sixth-seeded Meadow Heights won the consolation bracket 8-6 over Oak Ridge. Derik Collier got the win, and Josh Fulton was 2-for-3 for Meadow Heights.
