Bell City lost a seven-point lead in the closing minutes of regulation, but recovered to defeat host Dexter 64-62 in overtime to win the Stoddard County Conference title Tuesday night.

With the game tied 62-62 with 2.7 seconds left in overtime, Bell City (19-3, 7-0) inbounded the ball to point guard Dominitrix Johnson, who hit Jeff Liggins with a 25-foot no-look pass for a lay-in at the buzzer.

Johnson led Bell City with 20 points, Randy Conn had 17, including four 3-pointers, and Tyler Victor and Liggins each finished with 10.

Josh Miller hit several big baskets in the final minutes of regulation and led Dexter (17-6, 6-1) with 20 points. Chris Guethle added 16 points.

Woodland won at home over Advance after suffering two losses to the Hornets earlier this season by a combined four points.

Woodland (10-9, 2-2) took a 44-29 lead into the fourth quarter and held off the Hornets. Travis Benfield and Cody McCraw paced the Cardinals with 22 and 21 points, respectively. Daryl Wade scored 16 to lead Advance, which also got 11 from Jeremy Limbaugh.

Woodland will play at Zalma Friday at 6:30 instead of 7 p.m.
