DEXTER — The Bearcat boys tennis team kicked off the home-opener with a doubles win by Lawson Blocker and Cooper Worley (8-4). The Poplar Bluff Mules bounced back by winning the next two doubles matches and four singles matches to defeat Dexter (3-6).

Doubles teammates Ryder Williams and Logan Reed lost (2-8) while Ashton Dvorak and Vivan Patel lost the final doubles match up (0-8).

In singles play: Bearcat Cooper Worley won decidedly (8-2) over Beau McCormack and Ryder Williams defeated William Sherrill (8-6).

Lawson Blocker was defeated by Tavian Towns (1-8), Logan Reed lost to Kurt Rosson (2-8), Ashton Dvorak was defeated by Matthew Penn (0-8) and Vivan Patel lost (0-8) to Aiden Castillo.
