Southeast Missouri State University's men's basketball team lost in its final home game of the season Saturday night as Austin Peay defeated the Indians 63-56 at the Show Me Center.

The Indians fell to 10-17 overall and 4-10 in Ohio Valley Conference play as they remained in eighth place in the nine-team league.

Austin Peay improved to 18-7 overall and 11-3 in the OVC. The Governors are in second place, just one game behind Morehead State in the loss column.

Southeast built a pair of early six-point leads but Austin Peay went ahead 16-15 with just under eight minutes remaining in the period and led 26-22 at the intermission.

The Govs built the game's biggest lead, 31-22, early in the second half. The Indians fought back and went ahead 49-48 on a Derek Winans 3-pointer with 5:55 remaining. It was Southeast's first lead since the opening half.

But Austin Peay surged back ahead 50-49 on Adrian Henning's driving shot at the 5:30 mark and the Govs stayed in front the rest of the way.
