Week report: Rogers, a 5-foot-5 off-guard, averaged 24 points in two games in the Charleston Tournament. She scored 18 in a opening round loss to New Madrid and 30 in a 70-60 win over Scott County Central in the consolation final.
Season report: Rogers averages 14.8 points a game. She has connected on 72 of her 104 shots from the field this season for an incredible 70 percent shooting average. She scored 26 points earlier this season with 26 points against Senath-Hornersville in the Holiday Classic. She also averages 2.2 assists and two steals a game.
Coach's comments: "I fuss that when she's open to shoot, cause she is a good shooter. She can hit. She needs to do more of that, but she's not a selfish player. She's worked hard all year. She's kind of weak defensively but she's getting better with that. . . Her confidence level wavers; when she's on, she does well. She likes to dribble penetrate and pass off, but when she's left open she can shoot quite well."
