Week report: In two games last week, Beck scored 79 points as the Rams won two contest and improved to 5-0. Most notably, Beck set two school records by drilling 16 of 25 3-pointers and scoring 59 points in a 126-46 home-win over Egyptian High out of Tamms, Ill. The 3-point total is believed to be a Missouri state record.
On the season: Beck leads the undefeated Rams in scoring average (27.5), 3-pointers (26), free throw percentage (88 percent), and steals (4.3). He's also averaging 4.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists on the year.
Coaches comments: "Jon's work ethic is second to none. He comes (to practice) early and stays late. This day and age, that's a rare attribute for a young man."
Amy O'Brien
School: Scott City
Class: Senior
Sport: Basketball
Position: Guard

Week report: O'Brien was the only Lady Ram to score in double-digits in all three games last week as Scott City won the Chaffee Invitational Tournament. O'Brien was Scott City's second-leading scorer in the tournament with 37 points.
On the season: O'Brien is the floor leader of a Scott City team that started the week undefeated (5-0). She's hit double-digits in scoring in every game this season, averaging 11.8 points per game through last week.
Coaches comments: "Amy played a real good floor game for us. She only had three turnovers in the tournament and had about 12 rebounds from her guard position."
