The Poplar Bluff cross country team finished its season on Saturday at the Class 5 District 1 meet at Northwest on Saturday but one area team made history in its district competition.
The Dexter boys cross country team is headed to state after they finished second in the Class 3 District 1 meet at Notre Dame. On the girls side, Abbie Lloyd qualified as an individual for state.
Dexter will send Cameron Bell, Ben Dowdy, Hunter Massey, Jaxon King and Chase Farmer to the state meet.
