Bill Gosche scored his first hole in one Saturday at Kimbeland Country Club.Gosche, of Jackson, used an eight iron on the par-3, fourth hole from 134 yards out.

The Allen Laws Oliver Chapter of The Missouri Society of The National Society Sons of the American Revolution will have its annual President's Day 5-kilometer run on Feb. 17 with a start and finish at Red Star Baptist Church.
Registration for the run will take place 7:15 to 7:45 a.m. on race day and the event begins at 8 a.m.
The entry fee is $12 by Feb. 16 and $15 on race day.

Freidheim swept three games from Frohna in Cape-Perry LLL Dartball action, increasing its hold on first place to four full games.
New Wells also swept three games to move into second place.
Crosstown, which was 3 1/2 games back, was off in Week 10 of the league and dropped into third place.
The dartball league, which concludes with a postseason tournament, has teams of nine players throwing darts at a board with a baseball diamond to reach baseball outcomes. The teams compete in standard baseball tripleheaders each week.

Andrea Koeper, a 1997 graduate of Immaculate Conception School in Jackson, has returned to the school to coach the sixth grade C team in girls basketball.
Koeper played basketball and volleyball at ICS, Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State.
Koeper is assisted by Cherish Tillman Langston. The team won its opener Dec. 18 against St. Vincent of Perryville.
