Peterman takesfirst in A-flight

Deanna Peterman took first place Tuesday in the A-flight at the weekly Cape Chip-A-Ways golf outing.

Jean Graham and Evelyn Riley tied for first place in the B-flight.

Lil Angle and Carolyn Blechle tied for the low putts and Bea Mashek had the play of the day.

Indoor tennis courts open Saturday

The Class Act Family Fitness Center in Jackson will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday at 9 a.m. to open its new indoor tennis courts.

The facility's indoor courts will be the only indoor courts located between St. Louis and Memphis.

Brey takes first place in golf outing

Judi Brey finished in first place in the Women's Golf Association's weekly outing at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

E.R. Fischer and Betty Michel finished in a tie for second place.
