Foursome wins RSVP golf tournament

The team of Cliff Barlow, Rob Nagy, Dave Sticht and Terence Kelley won the recent Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Scott/Cape Girardeau Counties eighth annual four-person scramble golf tournament.

Barlow, Nagy, Sticht and Kelley combined to shoot 14-under-par 56 at the Cape Girardeau Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Larry Angle, Corey Buchheit, Kirk Buxton and Todd Woodfin finished second in Flight A with 61.

Kevin Phillips, Steve Hanschen, Wayne Nations and Rick Schulz won Flight B with 65, the same score as the runner-up team of Frank Essner, Crystal Essner, Gerratt Essner and Tibra Essner.

Special award winners were Jim Talley (longest putt), Crystal Burress (closest to the line), Sissy Burnett (longest drive) and B.J. Smith (closest second shot).

Brey earns medalist at Cape Country Club

Judi Brey was the medalist this week in the Cape Girardeau Country Club Ladies Day action.

The play of the day was pink ball. Winners were Brey, Mary Sue Layton and Mary Ann Vogelsang.
