Cheney picked for national baseball list
Ryan Cheney of Jackson has been chosen for "Who's Who in Youth League Baseball 2002."
The distinction is given to only about five percent of the nearly one million Babe Ruth League players in the United States and Canada. It's awarded to players based on their accomplishments in performance and leadership on the field.
Cheney plays in the Jackson boys' league and is on a traveling team. He has been chosen to play for the Jackson all-star teams the past three seasons.
He is the son of Robert and Sherry Cheney and attends Jackson Middle School.
