Final registration for the Cape Noon Optimist Indoor Soccer League will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the offices of Bradshaw, Steele, Cochrane and Berens, located at 3113 Independence St. in Cape Girardeau.

Cape girls basketball

league meeting Tuesday

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will have an informational meeting about the 2007 Girls Youth Basketball League at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Osage Community Centre, 1645 N. Kingshighway.

The league will have three divisions - grades 3 and 4, grades 5 and 6, grades 7 and 8. Play begins Jan. 6 and will continue through the middle of March.

Mack captures race

at 64 in Arkansas

Joey Mack swept two races on Oct. 21 in his first appearance of the racing season at the 64 Speedway in Augusta, Ark.

Mack, from Benton, Mo., won $700 after he captured his heat and then added a win in the A main feature.

Mack's last event for the season is Saturday in Winchester, Tenn., in a $3,500-to-win show.

He finished 10th in the final points standings for the Mid America Racing Series.
